GCSE Relief!

Phew! Thank goodness that’s done!

My son sat his final GCSE exam last week.

A few months ago the weight of it felt quite enormous — the amount of exams, the constant emails from school, the revision schedules, the "what ifs." It loomed large on the horizon and caused me much more anxiety than it should have!

And then we faced it.

And it wasn't as bad as we thought.

It so rarely is.

I've been thinking about how true that is for so many of the changes we face in life — particularly those of us in our 40s and 50s navigating a season that can feel daunting before it's even properly begun.

There’s been decisions you've been shelving for months; there’s a conversation you've been putting off; there’s a version of yourself you've been wanting to step into — but something keeps holding you back.

So often it's the anticipation that’s the weightiest part. The questions you just keep playing over in your mind. How much will it cost me? What might go wrong?

But what if, like my son's exams, it wasn't as bad as you thought?

The questions will always remain those frustrating niggles until you decide to take that first step.

Change Your Spots Life Coaching creates a safe, warm space to face the things you've been putting off, get clear on what you actually want, and move forward with far more confidence than you knew you had all along.
