We had a great time exploring Hilbre Island at the weekend. Just off the coast of West Kirby, it can only be accessed at certain times.
The Hilbre Islands Local Nature Reserve sits within the Dee Estuary on the north west coast of England — one of the most ecologically significant stretches of coastline in the UK. Designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest, a Special Protection Area, a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance and a candidate EU Special Area of Conservation, it is home to extraordinary wildlife including grey seals, vast flocks of wading birds and some of the most dramatic coastal scenery in the north west.
The three tidal islands, Little Eye, Middle Eye and Hilbre Island are rugged, rocky and beautiful. Although the island isn't accessible all of the time, it doesn’t go anywhere, it just needs the right tide.
Midlife can feel the same. Like you’re standing on the shore, watching something beautiful, ready for exploration & enjoyment, but just out of reach.
But timing matters. Preparation matters. Knowing when to step forward makes all the difference.
That’s what life coaching does. It helps you read your own tide times so that, when the moment is right, you walk forward, well equipped and with confidence.
